Help Us Grow

Greetings:

My name is Larry Daniels-Murray and I'm the 2005 President of the Kansas City Chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals – AITP. You may remember us as the Data Processing Management Association - DPMA? We changed our name back in the 20th century to reflect the new age of technology so we are now called the AITP. We are to IT what the AICPA is to Accountants. I have a simple favor to ask that will not cost you or your company any money and that may help your associates expand their knowledge of technology issues and will help our chapter grow.

We've been around internationally, and locally since 1952. You can access details from our home page at http://kc.aitp.org on the web. We currently have about 20 to 40 people at our monthly seminars and we send about 300 email announcements on a bi-monthly basis. I hope you would agree that we should be telling many more people about our monthly seminars. What I'd like you to consider is to let us add one of your associates or employees to our email list for a limited period of 3 months so that one person would forward our email to as many of your IT people as you would like, a total of six announcements, only two each month. We will provide a way for people to voluntarily sign up to continue getting announcements, or they would simply do nothing if they want to stop receiving the announcements. By growing our organization, we are better able to represent the IT industry in general and Kansas City through our charitable efforts. If you have any questions about what I am asking for, or if you are willing to support our goal to advance our professional image in KC, just send me an email at helpus@kc.aitp.org at your convenience.

We look forward to hearing from you and will reply to all emails.

Thank you for your time,

Larry Daniels-Murray
2005 President, KC AITP
